The Scottish Government's update to 2020 Routemap for Renewable Energy
November 14, 2012
On 30 October 2012 the Scottish Government published the first annual update to their 2020 Routemap for Renewable Energy in Scotland.
This progress report provides a summary of developments across the renewables sector, and includes a new interim target to meet the equivalent of 50% of Scotland’s electricity demand from renewable sources by 2015 – an important milestone on the journey towards 100% by 2020.
For those members not had time to visit the Environment Agency site please find attached a copy of the PLT, some argue this year\'s results say little about an organisations energy efficiency measures as they are based solely on approved Early Action Metrics rather than real energy savings. This means some of those at the bottom of the table could have reduced consumption through major investment that has not yet been measured. Any comments ?
